Be persistent because the fungi are persistent

The one who had fungi on his nails knows how difficult it is to deal with them. They are most commonly caused by fungi that we pick up in wet places. Joint showers or pools are common sources. If you have an athlete’s foot, there are more chances that fungi will cross over to your nails.

If you suspect you have fungi, be sure to contact your doctor. Treatment is done with different treatments and medications. However, there are alternative methods that are very effective in combating this problem, which you can try at home. Here’s a recipe that is proved to be the most effective.

Sodium bicarbonate and vinegar

Vinegar effectively kills fungi. The fungi do not like the acidic environment, and baking soda will neutralize the acid.

For the treatment, you need:

  • Water
  • 1 cup of apple or alcoholic vinegar
  • 4-5 teaspoons of baking soda
  • Paper napkins

Pour vinegar in water. Dip the feet for 15 minutes, then wipe them with paper napkins. Then immerse your feet into another bowl with water, in which you dissolved 4-5 teaspoons of baking soda. In this way, vinegar will kill fungi and baking soda will neutralize acidity, thus preventing the recurrence of fungi.

Repeat treatment twice a day. You have to be persistent, fungi are sometimes very persistent.
