This remedy is highly effective as ants hate the smell of garlic. To prepare the natural insecticide, crush a few garlic cloves and soak them in a pot of water for 24 hours. Afterwards, cook the mixture on low heat for 15 minutes, then leave it to cool down for a bit before applying it on the places frequented by ants.


When fermented, rice produces a fungus that ants hate. To use rice against the ant infestation in your home, put a handful in the areas where you noticed the ants.
