You can soak up the fresh stains on your carpet by using soda water or tonic water. These solutions can also work for removing dirt off your carpets. If you want to keep your sponges clean, put them in the microwave every day for two minutes and change them with new ones every two weeks. If you use a rag, you should wash it every two days in a hot washing cycle.
You can keep the pet bowls clean by washing them in the dish washer or if you wash them by hand. If you choose the latter option, use a diluted bleach solution and do not forget to rinse then in the end using clean water. For a gallon of water, use one cup of diluted bleach solution.
Toothbrush holders usually contain a lot of bacteria as they tend to be close to the toilet seat. When you flush the toilet, the aerosols that contain fecal can be let loose.
Clean the toothbrush holders twice a week by using hot soapy water or put them in the dishwasher.
You should clean the bottom and the sides of the kitchen sink at least twice a week to eliminate the mold and the colliform bacteria.
Furthermore, you can make a mixture from one tablespoon of bleach and one quart of water which you will use once a month. This mixture should be poured down the drain. Also, do not forget to wash the sink strainer.
